Drawing through touch

Today we had a seminar on drawing methods with Patrick Letchka and I found it interesting to think about mark making based off not viewing but from touch. Drawing my face from just touching it I found myself more confident than perhaps if I had a mirror, and I was suprised by the likeness. I also found it intriguing drawing the inside of the mouth, with the challenge of drawing something that literally can’t be drawn accurately and can only truly be felt. It was interesting to map something we know so intimately. Communicating or translating what we feel with our senses into mark making or something tangible to a difference sense. . I’m wandering how I might take this interpretation of the senses into my project.
