Today I decided to try polishing the mirror by hand, and had a lot more success with getting a more even finish, I just struggled to get it to the mirror finish of the original. Working by hand was alot more enjoyable and satisfying, in some way soothing as each layer began to slowly build shine. Wen Wen and Shaoyin both reccomeded a new silversmithing technique which I’ll try next week.  

I made one side of the mirror hyper shiny but there are some marks from the power tools, and I’ve made one side very smooth and quite reflective but just not quite mirror like. Im combination it would be perfect. I’m taking a break for a bit from the mirror as it’s quite labour intensive and I need to do something less hard on my hands.
